Welcome Drinks - Bar Abaco, Palma
06.07.2024
5:30-7:30PM
Join us at Bar Abaco for welcome drinks and nibbles to meet and mingle on the Saturday evening.
You can find Abaco on Carrer de Sant Joan in the centre of Palma. Look out for the big wooden doors and white awnings.
Faye needs her beauty sleep and Jamie will need to start panicking, but you can all enjoy the rest of the evening! There are plenty of places to head out for dinner after drinks in the centre; we do recommend booking though as it can get busy.

Finca Son Termes is around a 20 minute drive from Palma.
Transport will be picking up at Cami de l’Escullera (the port area close to the Cathedral!) and pick up time is 4:30pm. There will be transport heading back to Palma at regular intervals throughout the night too.
Welcome drinks will be served at 5pm at the venue, and will be followed by lots of drinks, food and most importantly, dancing the night away.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Chilled Pool Party - Balneario Illetas
08.07.2024
12:00-6:00PM
Monday Funday anyone?! We have reserved a chilled spot at a beach club the following day for some hair of the dog drinks.
Balneario Illetas is about 20 minutes south of Palma in a taxi. We have an area reserved with sunbeds from 12:00 until 6:00pm on the beach, and an area above for those who want to avoid the sand.
You can expect more food and drink to help with the hangovers, but its relaxed so don’t worry if you need a lazy morning!
Remember… what makes you bad makes you better!
FAQs
-
We know Palma in July is likely to be hot, but we hope you can wear your sunday best for our celebrations!
For welcome drinks: smart casual. Think resort wear. Open collars and linen shirts for the gents. Chic dresses for the ladies.
For pool party: beach chic! Anything you feel comfortable in! It could be your best tanning outfit if you plan on not moving off a sunbed all day, or an open shirt over swim shorts!

We love your little ones! However, we wnt you to take the night off as our wedding is an adult only event! Babes in arms are welcome.
Children are able to join at the welcome party and pool party (if you want!). However, as we are still to confirm locations for these parties, there may be restrictions (e.g. pool access for little ones). If we can just ask that you let us know in the comments section of the RSVP.
If you’re planning on bringing your children we are happy to share some further information on babysitter services for the evening, please feel free to reach out if you need some assistance with this for our big day.

We have arranged transportation to/from the wedding venue for the big day from Palma.
We have a few different arrangements so your email will have detailed relevant pick up and drop off information.
For those taking the main coach to the venue, the pick up time will be 4:30pm. The bus will be picking up from the port closest to the Cathedral in Palma (here: https://goo.gl/maps/hK3REHPCqscJLXoF8)
For those on minibuses/vans, you’ll have had an email confirming the pick-up location.
For anyone in the wedding party, you’ll be with one of us, so you’ll be bundled into a car!
If any of our guests would prefer to make their own way to the venue, there is plenty of secure parking available on site.

July in Mallorca is hot! The average temperature is 25 degrees.
Whilst the ceremony and dining area are shaded, we will be outside until the party really starts when we shimmy inside for the disco.
-
On our travel and stay page, you can find recommendations for hotels in central Palma and Playa de Palma too. If you have ANY questions at all please do let Jamie and I know as we are happy to help!
We aren’t stalkers, but we do want to know when you’ll be arriving and where you’ll be staying, so on the Travel and Stay page you will find a form to input that information once you’re all booked! It’ll help us plan for transport, but also so we know who is around when!
-
Faye’s not the only one with dietary requirements, we promise you won’t go hungry!
Make sure when you’re filling in the RSVP you flag any allergies, intolerances or special dietary needs. We will provide this to our caterers and share more information with you in advance.

There are so many brilliant places to eat (and drink) around Palma centre, you can’t really go wrong!
Some that we would recommend:
El Camino
Mr Xiao’s
Koa (this is right next door to where we are having welcome drinks, so very handy location!)
Rikito
Bondo
The Merchants
Ocho Kitchen
La Paloma
Forn
Ombu
And for the best gelato… Rivareno!
Got other questions?!
We’re sure you’re not the only one!
Let us know if you have any other questions using the form and we will make sure to get back to you (and where helpful, add the question directly into the FAQs for future too!)
